We want everyone to feel included. As long as you're a member of the GE Energy Pension Scheme or GEAPS Pension Scheme and you’re committed to representing our members in both Schemes, we’d love you to apply. Members who can apply include:
  • Deferred members, whether still working for GE or not
  • Pensioners
  • Members who are receiving a dependant's or child's pension, as long as you're aged 18 or over

You don't need to have pensions knowledge to take a seat at the table. We're interested in your creative thinking, compassion, and bright ideas.

It doesn't matter where you live - if you live outside the UK, you can still apply as you can work virtually. We run hybrid meetings with a mixture of people attending online and in person.

There are no barriers

If you feel that you would like to apply, but are hesitant for any reason - we'd like to reassure you that we need people on the Trustee Talent Team from all backgrounds and of all ages to represent our members.

People of different ages, or with different life experiences, such as living with a disability, have a range of perspectives to bring to the table and we'd love to offer you a seat, as long as you're aged 18 or over.

If you need us to make any adjustments so that you can take part in this process, get in touch with Louis or Andrew at louis.vickery@aon.com or andrew.brown@aon.com

Taking your seat on the Trustee Talent Team could be your chance to use your experience to make a difference for Scheme members like you.

The importance of diversity
We take a very positive approach to diversity issues. We believe that diversity is about more than just the things we can see – it’s also about the way we think, feel and act. If you were to join the TTT, the Trustee Board is a safe space where we would encourage you to speak openly, sharing your ideas and views.

The value of being a TTT member
Aon, the Scheme Secretary, is very helpful at
pointing out relevant material and training opportunities. I’ve also attended board and committee meetings and have gained a good insight into the workings of the Scheme and the responsibility of a Trustee. In the next few months, I feel I will be even more prepared to make a real contribution.

The application itself was straightforward and looked primarily at my characteristics and behaviours rather the experience or ‘qualification’ – I found this interesting in itself as it showed the need for a wide range of views on the board.
