What’s a Member Nominated Trustee Director (MNTD)

The Trustee board is made up of Trustees who are appointed by the Company, known as Company-Nominated Trustee Directors (or CNTDs), and Trustees who are nominated from across the membership of our two pension schemes, known as Member-Nominated Trustee Directors (or MNTDs).

MNTDs can be deferred members or pensioner members, which includes dependants. Whether you’re a deferred or a pensioner member, you can bring your experience from your working life but also your life experience outside of work to the role. We’re all different and have different nuances in our perspectives, and that is what the Board needs.

The diversity of voices is what strengthens our Board. Your viewpoint matters, and as a Trustee, you’ll have the opportunity to use your life experience to contribute meaningfully to shaping the future for all members.

The important thing is that, as Trustees, we all have the same responsibility to act in the best interests of all the members.
